This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Ironmate. If anything is unclear, email us.

The short version

  • Ironmate keeps your information on your phone. There is no account and no server of ours.
  • We do not collect, receive, sell or share your data.
  • There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers.
  • The app works offline.

What the app stores on your phone

  • Your profile: name, gender, age, height, weight and goal, as you enter them.
  • Your workouts, sets, reps and weights.
  • Habits: water, sleep, food, calories, protein and step counts.
  • Weekly check-ins and body measurements, and optional progress photos you choose from your gallery.
  • Your chat history with your coach (Zain or Sara) and your settings, including language.

This data sits in the app's private storage on your device. Other apps cannot read it. We do not turn off Android's own backup, so your phone's system backup may include it, depending on your Google account settings. That is controlled by you and Google, not by Ironmate.

What we collect

Nothing. The release app has no internet permission, and we run no server for it. It works offline.

Things you start yourself

  • Backup. Ironmate can copy your data as text to your clipboard, and restore it when you paste it back. Where you paste it is your choice.
  • PDF report. Ironmate can build a PDF on your phone. It leaves your phone only when you pick an app to share it with.
  • Links. A few buttons open another app at your request, such as a YouTube search for an exercise video, your email app, or this page in your browser. Those services have their own privacy policies. We send them no personal data; a video search contains only the exercise name.

Permissions and why

  • Physical activity: to count steps with the phone's step sensor. Steps stay on your phone.
  • Notifications: to show workout, water and step reminders and the step counter notification.
  • Foreground service (health): to keep counting steps while the screen is off. A visible notification shows whenever it runs, and you can turn step tracking off.
  • Run at startup: to restore your reminders after the phone restarts.
  • Vibration: for reminder and timer haptics.

Photos you add are picked through Android's photo picker. Ironmate does not browse your gallery and does not need camera or storage permission. You can withdraw any permission in Android Settings at any time; the rest of the app keeps working.

Health information

Ironmate is a fitness and habit tracker. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Health-related entries stay on your phone.

Children

Ironmate is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, and the app sends nothing to us.

Deleting your data

Your data is only on your phone, so you control it. Use You → Reset program in the app to erase your program, logs and chat history, or uninstall Ironmate to remove everything. You can also use Android Settings → Apps → Ironmate → Storage → Clear data. We hold nothing, so there is nothing to delete on our side.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version needs to send data off your phone, we will tell you in the app first and update this policy.
